The Michael D Band is a nationally touring modern "Rockin Country" style band out of Lexington, Kentucky. They have performed with country music legends Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Lacy J Dalton and Junior Brown, as well as nationally touring acts O.A.R., Rich Hardesty, Michaelangelo. Michael D has recorded with Hag Records (Merle Haggard's record label), and with the Country Music Associations's Jonell Polansky at DeCapo Music. Michael has also performed live on the WSM morning show with Bill Cody. The Michael D Band is also the proud winners of the 2008 John Michael Montgomery "Battle of the Bands".
